Taylor Made R11S Fairway

New for 2012 from TaylorMade Golf is the R11S Fairway Wood. Featuring adjustability, an Aldila RIP Phenom 70 shaft and available in multiple flexes,this wood is the performance choice of golfers looking to tune in more distance and accuracy.

R11S Fairways combine Flight Control Technology (FCT) with Adjustable Sole Plate Technology (ASP) to offer 24 fitting options, all of which are easily accomplished. These combined technologies make the R11S the most sophisticated fairway wood on the market, offering a custom fit for every golfer. The FCT hosel allows the player to adjust loft up or down by 1.5° to alter launch angle and spin rate, for approximately 54 yards of horizontal trajectory adjustment, and 3° and 1500 rpm of launch condition change.

ASP technology allows the decoupling of loft and face angle by using a sole plate that can be adjusted for +/-2° of face angle change. This allows the golfer to independently tune the face angle without changing loft.

TheR11S Fairways have a pull-face construction which creates a thin, light, and fast clubface that promotes high ball speed. The crown walls are made from TaylorMade’s Ultra-Thin Wall (UTW) casting process to reach 0.6mm at the thinnest point. This allows for a low, forward Center of Gravity, which promotes high launch and low spin for optimum distance.

The TaylorMade matte white finish eliminates glare and contrasts with the black club face for easy alignment and accuracy at address.These Fairways are standard length and have an Aldila RIP Phenom 70 shaft designed with a medium-firm tip profile.
